Meet the Staff
Amy - Office Manager
When our patients leave our office, they not only have a beautiful smile but also more confidence in themselves. We like to make our patients as comfortable as possible as soon as they come into the office. I love interacting with them and developing trusting relationships, because everyone has a story, and I love to hear it.
I am married and we have a son, a dog named Shiloh, and cats named Kiara, Zelda, Playdo, and Everest. I enjoy spending time outdoors and I love the beach, planting flowers, and hiking. Most of my spare time I want to spend with my husband and son building memories of doing fun things as a family.
Patty - Financial Coordinator
I enjoy seeing our patients when they come into the office, and I always try to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. Working for Dr. Mappes is great because he is so kind and generous. He takes pride in his work and truly enjoys what he does.
I have a daughter, a cat named Nelly, and a dog named Oreo. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also love to watch football!
Sharon - Receptionist
Most of the time you can find me at the front desk checking patients in and out, and making appointments. I love seeing their happiness when they finish treatment and leave with a beautiful smile that we helped to create. Dr. Mappes is the best! He is a good person and he puts his heart and soul into treating his patients.
I am married and we have a daughter, two grandchildren, and a cat named Ashley. I enjoy flower gardening and I have a huge collection of African Violets inside my home. I also like working out, nature walks, reading, swimming, and relaxing in my hot tub.
Krissy - Receptionist
Since I work with new patients coming into the office, I am one of the first staff members our patients meet. I really enjoy getting to know our patients and helping them through the process of getting a great new smile. Dr. Mappes genuinely wants to connect with his patients and help them increase their confidence with a straight smile.
When I'm not in the office I'm probably running or watching Florida Gator football.
Norma - Scheduling Coordinator
I enjoy making our patients feel at ease when they come in for an appointment and interacting with them to learn about their lives. I love watching the younger patients change and grow up through their course of treatment. They bring a lot of joy to me and bring a smile to my heart.
I am married with two children. In my spare time I like reading and going to flea markets and country fairs.
Tracy - Clinical Coordinator, RDA
I help our patients develop the confidence and self-esteem that comes with a beautiful smile. We work with people of all ages, so we encourage everyone to participate in their treatment and educate and motivate them to maintain good oral hygiene. Dr. Mappes' goal is to always have the time to treat his patients and his staff as individuals with the development of personal relationships being a top priority.
I am married with two children. We have a dog named Ozzy and two cats named Tigger and Patches. In my spare time I enjoy shopping, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family.
Cindy - Clinical Coordinator, RDA
I take a real interest in developing relationships with my patients, learning about their families and interests. I want them to look forward to coming to see us! I love watching our patients grow in self-esteem and confidence, and to see them excited about their smiles changing and the difference that it is making in their lives.
I am married with two sons and a grand-baby. I love to read, and the book store is one of my favorite places. I also enjoy shopping and spending time with my family.
Paige - Orthodontic Assistant, RDA
I like meeting new people, watching them grow up, and giving them a confident personality and smile. When I'm in the office I like to have a lot of fun and learn about my patients' interests and hobbies. I always ask about any issues or questions they may have and make sure that they are comfortable during their appointments. Dr. Mappes is the jolliest, friendliest, and most giving person I know, and a great orthodontist, too!
I am married, and in my free time I like camping, canoeing, swimming, boating, motorcycle riding, painting, arts and crafts, shopping, and hanging out with my family.
Marlene - Orthodontic Assistant, RDA
I love that my job lets me meet and get to know so many different people. We talk about their interests and their family, and I think this helps them to feel more comfortable in our office. Dr. Mappes is kind, gentle, and he loves his profession. He is committed to helping everyone get a beautiful smile.
I am married with three children, and we have a dog named Princess Josephina and a turtle named Franklin. I love spending time with my family and friends, gardening, and motorcycle riding.
Kristy - Orthodontic Assistant, RDA
I love to watch patients’ reactions as they progress with braces and see the wonderful changes in their confidence and self-esteem. Making each patient as comfortable as possible is very important to me, and I want to make their orthodontic experience as positive and fun as possible. Dr. Mappes is a wonderful orthodontist and an even better boss. I feel very blessed to work here!
I am married with four daughters who keep me very busy! I love to read, and sing in the car, and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
